"Now that our trash service offers compostable pick up we needed something compostable to put our food waste in. Dumping food scraps directly into the green bin quickly became smelly and pest infested.

These bags hold up much better than the others we tried. They don't break down too quickly (one brand we tried literally started dissolving within 48 hours). They do puncture more easily than even the cheapest plastic bags, but as long as we don't over fill them or put sharp edged things in them (like crab shells), they work well.

They cost a bit more than some others, but they save us lots of time in cleaning out rotted scraps from our green bins."
