"I've only used these bags a couple of times so far, but I have been impressed by their durability and strength - I put several large mangoes into one and the bag was able to carry the weight just fine, which I wouldn't have been able to do with a regular plastic produce bag. The straps are also really helpful in being able to carry the bags better. I don't believe they are sheer enough for a clerk to scan an item through the bag itself due to the net, but I don't think this would be a major issue since the clerk could just open the bag and scan something directly. In my case, I've been using these at farmer's markets and they've been great. Also, the tare weight (the weight of the bag) is on a tag that's attached to the bag, which is very helpful as well. I highly recommend these as a substitute for regular plastic produce bags!

"In the beginning I used these bags as suggested for produce purchased in the supermarket. Then I realized they had another surprising — to me — use. When I wash delicate items in the washing machine, I put them in a bag. Not only to keep them safe, but also to remind me that the items (usually) need to be hung up, not run through the dryer."
