I need lightweight yet sturdy utensils - something that won't hurt my feet when I inevitably drop them, but that are strong enough to stab into food without relying on my nonexistent hand/arm strength.
Of the oodles of disposable fork/spoon/knife brands & kinds I tried, these Transitions To Earth ones are the ONLY ones to meet all of the above needs, AND are the ONLY ones that have handles wide enough for actual hands - even disabled hands with limited grip & dexterity- to hold!
Everything else has those wicked thin, unholdable handles (not to mention they snap in half if you try to stab an overcooked green bean with them!).
These being made from corn, & being compostable, are just icing on the cake for me, & help me to not feel so guilty about needing to use disposable utensils now (& likely for the rest of my life). We keep a box each of these knives, spoons, & forks right on the sideboard for easy access.
