"I wasn't sure if this would work but I wanted something that would avoid using even more chemicals in our daily lives. Clothes are big part of life and a good place to start to get rid of consistent exposure to chemicals. These dryer balls are made of organic wool and perform exactly as described. I've had them for a year so far and they still look new. Clothes come out of the dryer just as if you used a dryer sheet but better, of course, because . . . no chemicals. "Been using these for 3 months now in an attempt to save on money and chemicals from dryer sheets. They only cut our dry time down just a little (about 5-10 minutes), but they do significantly cut down on the amount of lint in the lint trap for most loads. With lots of people in our house, we do at least a load of laundry a day, so we just keep all 6 of these “chilling” in the dryer between loads. Occasionally I’ll put some essential oil drops on a couple - and that does work nicely. They’re also great for a quick no-heat softening of air-dried clothes. Definitely read the instructions though - we were only using a couple of them at first, but you do need all 6 for large loads."
