"I got for my trip I was surprised that was a little big but once I start using it, it’s amazing being that the container is strong and it has some openings in the bottom so the makeup sponge can breath. I recommend it work good for me."

"Looking for an inexpensive locale for your makeup sponge to take a vacation when it's not bouncing unguents on your skin? Save yourself some cash and retain the case it came in. Unfortunately, this gizmo disappoints. I purchased this item thinking, based on the product description, that it would be a nice, cozy place to let my BeautyBlender sponges air dry between uses. Well, wrong I was.

Around 10:00 the night I received the Sunficon (odd name, that) I tested two new, unused BeautyBlenders by getting them wet and pressing the excess water out of them with a water-sucking microfiber towel. One BeautyBlender went in the Sunficon, drying ring intact and cap snapped in place. In fact, I have no choice but to use the drying ring each time because it is perpetually lodged into the device and cannot be removed without breaking it. The company should have packaged it separately from the main sponge container to avoid this issue. The other sponge I balanced atop the lid of the BeautyBlender container per usual.

Over 24 hours later - around 1:30 in the morning, since yours truly keeps strange hours - I checked both sponges. The balancing BeautyBlender perched on the lid of its original container was nearly dry with just a touch of dampness. It easily slipped completely within the original plastic container it was sold in. I live in a very humid area, so this level of dryness is typical at 24 hours post-use. The Sunficon? Still wet - so wet, I could have used it right then for a fresh coat of foundation.

The Sunifcon could be used, I guess, as a place to store makeup sponges that are totally dry. But, there's a hole in the bottom to aid in drying and it can't be closed off. So, dust, damp, creepy-crawlies, and other nasties can find their way in. Or, sponges with smaller diameters or stored with a point facing down will touch whatever is underneath. For those who are scrupulous in their sponge cleansing habits, this might give one pause. It's also made of plastic that is unrecyclable in the U.S. despite the manufacturer's strange assertion that it is 'eco-conscious' (I believe that was the particular greenwashing term used).

Three stars because this tchotchke might just work in a drier climate or to store sponges of different brands. I plan on using it in future as a receptacle to store garlic. Reduce, reuse, recycle..."

"This was much bigger than I expected! I was looking for a small container for my makeup applicator for my travel bag and work desk. I ordered this and didn’t realize how large it is! It takes up more than half my makeup bag! Sadly, it will be going back and I’ll continue to use my snack baggie until I find something smaller."
