"I have used waterproof mascara for years but I kept thinking about the chemicals I was absorbing. It took olive oil, or coconut oil to remove it, which is OK. It came off easily but the skin around my eyes gradually would absorb it and became a bit darker, even though I'd wipe it off quickly.... there was the need for something to lighten around my eyes. I tried this mascara because of the ingredients, being much healthier. The only down side is that if there are tears, it does smudge a bit. It's not water-proof. But, that said, I am pleased with the price and quality.... and I have never found an organic mascara that is truly water-proof."
