"I purchased these because they were compostable. As it turns out, if you are using the spoons a few times a day, the curvature of the spoon can be irritating to the mouth. If you only use them now and then, it would be fine, and spoons are probably used less than forks, but having had to use the spoons for a few days, they became painful. I would still use these for any situation where you would be using them once in awhile."

"Purchase these for a party - wanted to try and reduce environmental impact since we don’t have enough re-usable cutlery for all guests. Did not experience any melting, appreciated the compartmentalized box for keeping things organized. Able to cut into sausages using knife & fork.
