Thin ... good for my purpose
"These are very soft paper towels and a bit more delicate than I expected. I'm using them to provide moisture/darkness to my trays of seed sprouts and shoots; they work well for that purpose. I don't think they would be great as an everyday paper towel but I don't use disposable towels in the kitchen any longer."
They're not absorbent. If that's your priority, make another choice.
"Edit of 9/15/2023: I've reduced my original review from 4-star to 2. After working with these towels for a while, I've come to realize they're not much use for anything other than dry messes. Now, I don't know about you, but for dry messes I use a broom and dustpan or the vacuum, not paper towels. Which means they're basically useless. As soon as they touch moisture, they begin disintegrating. So, I have to use more and more sheets to get the job done. I'm using 8-12 sheets at a time, as opposed to 1-3 sheets of regular paper towels. (Mainly cleaning up cat puke, hence the large number of towels.) Granted, with the bamboo, no matter how many I use, I'm still saving trees, but I'm wasting a butt-ton of money. Money I don't have to spare. So I'm going to give these a hard pass for now, until they can process the bamboo pulp into something a bit more hardy.
Original review: However, if you want something for basic wiping and cleaning, these bamboo towels will work just fine.
They're very much like the napkins at a fast food franchise. (You know, where they've cheaped out and used single-ply, single-fold squares of paper.) They're not sturdy, they tear easily and quickly after being exposed to liquid, and for any big spill or mess, it takes a couple of handfuls to get the job done. But they're ideal for those situations where you need a handy barrier between you and whatever ick you've encountered. Rough as they are, I also think they'd be useful for when you need emergency tissue (either for your face or your nether regions).
Since they are bamboo, I don't have to feel guilty for using several sheets at a time, and I'm always happy for having less guilt about...well, anything. And everything."
