It does what it says it will do.
"I am no expert at paper towels and I know that there are tons on the market, but what I can tell you for certain is that I always go thru a TON of paper towels. My wife always buys (~$32.00) a big box of Multi-Fold paper towels from a popular wholesale store (16-pack, 250 count pack, 4,000 towels), and I use these these up very quickly. I am always wiping away the countertops and stove, then throw one out then get another towel. Gets expensive.

So,I decided to try these Bamboo Reusable Paper Towels hoping that we could reduce waste/costs on those paper towels.

I have use the same sheet of this bamboo paper towel, I a must say that I am a bit impressed. I must have used/washed a single sheet at least a dozen times. It is still soft/strong just as if it were a new sheet.

The product description says that a sheet can be reused up to 80 times. I would say that this is probably accurate.

    BTW, couple notes:

    1. Each sheet is 11x12 inches. I cut the sheet in half (11x6 inches). I do not need the sheets to be that long. This way, I get twice as many sheets, and I don't end up throwing out a single long sheet when it wears out.

    2. With a little effort, you can stretch a sheet (long ways). But, if you try to stretch a sheet from the sides, there is a lot more resistance. - tougher to stretch.

    3. When I wipe a mirror, I sometimes see small fiber strands (like a small very thin string) left on the mirror surface. May want to be careful when wiping down a countertop and then putting food (i.e. meat, dough..etc) down on the countertop.

    4. These paper towels are pretty good for wiping down furniture items and/or hard surfaces. Use/Rinse/Reuse over and over.
Overall, seems to be a very durable product. With the two roles I have, these will last probably a year or two. For those that may think the roles are to expensive, you really have to take into consideration the number of sheets you get, how long each sheet will last, and even cutting the sheets in half, then comparing that to what you will get with a regular sheet of paper towel. Or better yet, if you don't want to deal with paper towels, just use a wash cloth."
A complimentary alternative, not quite a full replacement
"I’d argue that using these isn’t quite a 1:1 replacement for paper towels.

Overall: These function similar to regular (ie – single use, disposable) paper towels. These are more durable and washable. Excellent for dry dusting and light cleaning, although they do tend to shed more lint. A good segue from disposables to cleaning clothes.

At this phase, I don’t see myself (or most others) fully transitioning from standard paper towels to this sort of product. Especially with bamboo alternatives that more closely resemble traditional paper towel products gaining marketshare.

For dry dusting, swiffering, cleaning with natural products or light chemicals, I think these are ideal. For certain heavy soiling and/or biological waste, this may not be the right tool for the job. Do we really want to clean up vomit and then wash and reuse one of these towels? petting droppings? human feces? Etc.

I do like this product, just not for everything that I used to reach for a paper towel. All that said, a couple of notes on the execution. The two rolls are packaged in a sort of plastic for shipping. That just feels like a miss. Also, the cardboard roll (ie- the hard insert in the middle) is smaller than you’d find on a standard paper towel roll. I use an OXO Good Grips Steady Paper Towel Holder, and these rolls do not fit initially. I had to unscrew the cap of the holder and push out the insert to “make it fit.” Doesn’t change the product, but it also feels like an oversight."
    Good quality and very reusable
"These are rather reusable as long as it's something minor they've been used for. Like if I'm spraying with a little vinegar and doing a wipe-down, perfect. But obviously can't get them too dirty if you're trying to keep them around. Another issue is storing all the used paper towels...but the idea is better than totally disposable ones. They seem pretty strong and durable, and wipe things well."
