"You have to take the good with the bad on these. There is mostly upside here, but the worse case scenario can be problematic. It is possible to get some splintering with these. It usually isn't an issue, but children may not do well with preventing that. I'm saying it is like eating with porcupine utensils, but it is a fringe case that you may encounter with this natural product. All in all, this was an easy set to use. You won't be mixing brownie batter or anything like that, but you can eat. I give it 4 stars."

"Up til now, I've never even heard or or thought of Bamboo being used for everyday utensils. Honestly, they're surprisingly durable for being thin bamboo. They are a bit on the tiny side, some may care but I don't. They do what a fork is supposed to do and that's all that matters to me. The only thing I'm curious about is: If I don't keep them in their ziploc type of bag, how will the humidity in the air affect them over time? Will they absorb the humidity? Will they grow mold? Will they get soggy? I'm going to run an experiment and keep a few out on my kitchen table for a few weeks and see what happens. The humidity in my place is kept at approximately 57% so that's a baseline for ya and I'll update this review in a few weeks to let you know what happens!!

So far though, They are awesome and I think I'm gonna buy the spoons to go with them. I'd love to see a set of bamboo knives to go with them, not anything sharp like a blade to cut steak or anything, but you know, for softer stuff, baked potato, chicken tenders, chicken breast, vegetables, etc. That type of stuff.

If you're concerned for the environment though, Definitely grab these. The reason I say that is because if you're using metal silverware all the time and washing them, you're submitting chemicals of all different types into the environment and water eco. That's not good. These are extremely environmentally friendly and you don't have to wash them and you don't have to worry about them sitting in a landfill for months and months like Plasticware!!! Even if you're not worried about the ecosystem and environment, STILL BUY THEM! They are very reasonably priced for the quantity you receive and you'll be doing the world some good, too!!!"

"These are comparable in size to the plasticware you would get with fast food. Smaller than normal tableware but still big enough to be effective. If you have very large hands you may not find them very comfortable to use. The forks are surprisingly strong. I thought I would snap the tines using the fork to cut food, but they held up to everything I tried, including enchiladas, chicken, and fruit. The texture takes some getting used to as they are not smooth like plasticware so that could be a detractor to some. Overall, these are a nice eco-friendly alternative to other disposable forks. They'd be perfect for hikes or other outdoor activities as you'd not feel guilty if you inadvertently left one behind."
