"The shape and ability to screw them into your ear with the stem make these great! BUT whatever they are coated with make them itch after about 2 hours. It wakes me from a sound sleep with the itching OMG. So I washed them a few times, then rubbed them with alcohol and rinsed them. Let them dry and now they seem OK. They are superb ear plugs and cut the sound well. I like the stem because it makes them a lot easier to remove - they also stay in all night once you get them seated in your ears enough to block the sound of a snoring person or our raggedy old dishwasher running. I haven't tested to hear emergency stuff or the phone."

"I bought these because my boyfriends snoring is loud enough to shake the foundation of the house. They do block a decent amount of sound but not all of it. Foam earplugs block more. These are easier to get in and out your ears than foam earplugs. They’re decently comfortable and do stay in all night, but if you have waxy oily ears you may not like how the silicone feels after a while."
