"Pretty simple concept - when your face is greasy, simply roll the volcanic stone end and it instantly blots. Reusable, unlike those blotting sheets that used to be popular, simply wash and resuse.

Taking a star off because the plastic and removable parts do not seem to be well made - while this is a great value (less than revlons, comes with 5 volcanic stones altogether), I just don't see this particular item lasting very long. I appreciate getting two for that reason - when one inevitably breaks, I have the other.

"They do work really well for absorbing oil, but it fills up quick so i really only get a few good uses out of it before needing to wash the balls, and I've found them to be less absorbent after only a couple washes. Overall I'm not sure needing to replace these is any more or less wasteful than the little packs of oil blotting sheets. At least for someone with very oily skin like me, if you use this more than once a day, then you'll be washing your balls daily and and replacing them often."
