"I got these for use on camping trips to cut down on landfill waste. After a meal, these utensils, along with the plates, can be tossed in the fire and burn up. No utensils to clean or pack out. They are extremely light so I don't mind them for backpacking trips. A little more expensive that plastic, but you cant throw plastic in a fire. Great Find."

"I'm an avid user of disposable cutlery, but have a guilty conscience when it comes to the actual waste. I decided to give these a go...

First thought, these are 2-3 times the cost of store brand cutlery. For comparison, I can get a 192-piece assorted set for 9.88 at the 'blue and yellow place'. Additional thoughts - there was a circular 'safety' seal/sticker on the box that was broken on arrival; the contents inside the box seemed untouched but questionable when it comes to sanitation. Also, the edges are rough, depending which direction you run your fingers. From the handle down toward the tines/scoop part, it's smooth. But run your fingers the other way and it's rough. This makes me a bit hesitant to use them out of anxiety of getting a splinter. Otherwise, the 'flat' surfaces are smooth (top and bottom). To ease my mind, I will be sanding the sides before using.

They otherwise are sturdy and feel durable enough to use with typical picnic foods. Definitely a plus to not only be biodegradable but also compostable, so I'll be chucking these in our backyard compost."

"I like these a lot, but there are two glaring problems I have with them. First is the fact that you only get half as many spoons for some stupid reason. 60 knives and forks, with only 30 spoons. If it’s going to be a 150 pc set and there’s only 3 items, you would normally expect 50 sets. I just hate how they did this and screwed you out of 20 complete sets. It almost cuts the total amount of complete sets in half. Secondly, the “knives” are pitiful and will never cut anything. I realize they’re just disposable, and the knives aren’t going to be sharp, but you would have trouble cutting a scrambled egg in half with these. That’s not to say I hate this pack. Quite the contrary actually. I think they look fantastic, and they’re absolutely higher quality than plastic ones. They display so nicely. It just looks fancier and feels a lot better to use these compared to other disposable cutlery."
