"When you buy a Nespresso machine… you don’t think about the price of the pods. Upon learning the price of the pods you search for an alternative because the prices are ridiculous. These caps still require that you have empty barcoded pods - but they are soooo much better than the stickers. I used to have to set aside time to fill my pods for the week. With these caps I can fill them when I’m brewing instead.

I used 3 of the plastic scoops - then tamped it for a nice pack. The lids also pack it down a bit when you put them on. I was impressed with the crema and I’m so happy to be able to continue saving money - and now time on my morning espresso."

Pealing off the regular nespresso film completely is a little hard and u do have to be careful about what kind and how much coffee you put in the pod. It cleans really easily in the sink by running under some water."

"I must not be doing it right as I fill the container to about 1/8" from top and lightly tamp the coffee and put lid on and brew some coffee, but it is not quite the same as a sealed pod and coffee grounds seem a little dry when I'm done as if no water got to them. I will try the aluminum replacement lids next."
