"The color is like an eggplant purple, nice gel pencil texture. It stays pretty well for me, tight lining in top lash/ water line and small wing. I will say, I was looking specifically for a liner that would be sort of soft looking, closer to using shadow. That is the basic level of opacity. If you want it darker and bolder, you can layer it but it will never be as saturated or crisp as liquid or gel pot liner. That's perfect for me, but not for everyone. The price is very good, and I'm happy."

"Pros first: I'm impressed at how well this eyeliner went on and its staying power through the day.

Cons: (which can all be avoided) make sure you keep the top on, because if it dries out, you might as well be trying to put eyeliner on with the wrong end of the pencil. It simply will not work.

It's also quite difficult to sharpen. I gave up on using my makeup pencil sharpener, as it just created sharp edges and didn't do anything to get the eyeliner working again. I went at it with an craft knife, and managed to cut it back enough that I could get some color out of it.

Overall, if the top doesn't get knocked off, and you have a craft knife or a magical sharpener, you'll be really pleased with this eyeliner."
