Works well, but BE CAREFUL
"It's quite a relief to have been successful with this product; I was beginning to think that I was headed for a set of hearing aids.
But these tools are not for everybody; there's a strong need to be careful to avoid ear canal or eardrum damage.
The otoscope is very nicely implemented, in that it keeps "correct side up" whether you select/view right ear or left. However, the little "scooper" on the end of the otoscope is too easy to poke into your eardrum, and the little protective silicone sleeve on it can slip off and get left behind in your ear canal. Bad.
The rinser is <nearly> foolproof, because it would be hard to get deep enough into the ear to hit the eardrum; but it does have "high power" settings that I have not tried; I've used only the lowest-power setting, and the higher power rinse might be harmful to some.
I tried to (REALLY carefully) use the otoscope scooper to get the wax out, with only partial success. It can/did remove lots of wax, but it was dangerous, and incomplete, leaving a lot of residue. It also unavoidably pushed wax up against my eardrum, and I was half-deaf for a while until extensive rinsing. As with many reviewers, I eventually used the otoscope only for inspection after a rinse. It took a lot of rinses to do the job. The instructions recommend using a softener before rinsing; I didn't, but it is probably a good idea.
In short, it's not only a good tool (for a careful person) to avoid doctor visits. I'd recommend it to anyone who is routinely careful and not slapdash. It's also very useful for periodic inspection/maintenance; keeping things clean (maybe once a month?) instead of waiting for a huge buildup and a clinic appointment."
The thing with the camera is junk.
"The cleaner you use with water works great but the thing with the camera is just junk.
It lights up but it will not connect to your phone.
Buy the set with just the water pump cleaner and save $10-$15.
I gave the value for money rating a 3 because of the probe camera.
If I had ordered just the spray bottle I would give a 5 rating."
