"I served gumbo at an informal Christmas Eve party. Guest had to eat gumbo while standing up (not the best plan). These bowls held up great! They were sturdy enough for both the rice and the gumbo. If the portion filled the bowl to the brim, I added another underneath, but this was not for every serving. The guests were able to hold the bowls without heat coming through. All went well so i will purchase these again!"
