Collecting the Leaves
Our Team collects the naturally fallen leaves from the Areca palm tree. Unlike in the manufacturing of paper plates, plastic plates, or bamboo plates absolutely no trees are cut. We ONLY collect the leaves that have naturally fallen to the ground.
Cleaning and Sterilization
The leaves are brought back to our warehouse in India where they are sorted and then rinsed with fresh water to remove any dirt or debris and steamed for sterilization. The leaves are then hand stretched and flattened in preparation for the cutting process.
Making the Palm Leaf Plates
Our skilled artisans handcraft multiple plates and bowls from a single leaf using a combination of a specialized press and 180 degree heat. This disposable plates are free of any chemicals, dyes, or glues.
Packaging the Palm Leaf Plates
After the plates are formed, each Nature's Own Palm Leaf plate is cleaned, sun dried, and then carefully packaged in preparation for weddings, events, food trucks, picnics, parties, and personal use all over the world.
