Great Quality
"These containers are very versatile. They can be used for all sorts of goodies/foods, hot or cold. They are however a tad on the expensive side. We don't really use the covers but they are nice to have just incase you want to take something to go."
Useful But Smaller Than Expected & Sort Of Fragile
"As other reviewers have said, these turned out to be smaller than expected so I guess we misjudged what 16 ounces would be. I was interested in these because of their biodegradability. I was thinking these would be a great container to store my leftover Chipotle or Thai food, but looks like I will need to eat more and have less leftovers now, lol.
Also, the bowls and lids come stacked and they are not easy to pry apart. I wish I had handled the 1st lid more gingerly, as I ended up breaking the top end slot that fits over the lip of the bottom part. That end slot is fragile and very easy to break and I will try to be more careful with the next one I separate from the pack.
So far I have used these to store some cookies that I got from Whole Foods. I mostly just wanted to keep the critters away and did not expect the cookies to be airtight. The cookies did go stale eventually but it took a few days as I was nibbling on them. Not too bad considering the broken connecting parts.
I have not tried storing food that is more moist but as soon as I do I will update this review. However I believe these can have many other uses aside from storing food. They can be used to organize or transport smaller items like phone cords, toiletries like soap and toothpaste, guitar picks, and many other little items. However I would recommend putting a rubber band around the little box as the lid might come off. Overall these are useful although I do wish they were bigger and that the lids were stronger at the slot part where they fit over the bottom lip."
