"I admire all companies that strive to reduce waste by offering more eco-friendly and sustainable products. That is what drew me to try these re-usable bamboo cotton makeup remover pads. I have used and washed them several times. I like that they are slightly abrasive which helps exfoliate your skin while cleaning. However the stiffness of the material and the round shape makes it hard to clean around your eyes. Square pads with a corner and a straight edge might make it easier to get in closer to your eyelids. For best results, I found I needed to soak the pad with a makeup remover. Water alone did not do it (especially for eye makeup). They are definitely washable and do not shrink, but after using for makeup removal (foundation and mascara) they do not return to their original pure white. Even after spraying with laundry stain remover, there is still a faint stain after washing. The bamboo Q-tips are wonderful and a genius idea. I don’t know why every Q-tip maker doesn’t start using bamboo instead of plastic. The bamboo is just as sturdy (if not more) and is biodegradable in a few months vs plastic which will never decompose."

I got these to use with toner, in place of some very floppy little square microfiber cloths meant for cleaning phone screens and stuff. But I think I'm going to keep using my microfiber cloths, and maybe use these for cleaning purposes or something.

To me, these are not all that soft. They're not scratchy, exactly, but they feel a little rough against my skin. I do have sensory sensitivities to quite a few textures, but also my face skin doesn't seem to be all that sensitive in general - I have a more difficult time with bad textures on my hands than on my face. So I'm not sure how that'll come across to a neurotypical person with sensitive face skin, for instance. Regardless - I don't really care for how they feel when rubbed across my face.

I haven't tried using the konjac sponge. I have a silicone scrubby brush for my face already, and I'm happy with it, and ... the konjac sponge has kind of a weird texture (to me; again, I'm sensitive to textures) and I'm not really sure if I want to try it. Also I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put soap on it or how to use it - it seems more like a soft version of a pumice stone than a sponge?

I don't use q-tips on a regular basis, but it's nice that I have some now in case I ever need them for something.

I put several of the pads through the laundry in the little laundry bag that they come with, and while they hold up well, they don't really get dry when put through the dryer. They also get kind of bunched up on themselves in the bag. I might try putting them in loose in the future and see if that works better."
