Clean Your Skin While Reducing Your Future Product Waste
"Neutrogena Reusable Gentle Foaming Facial Cleanser Starting Kit can help you clean your skin while reducing your future product waste. The kit includes one 7.5fl oz Reusable Aluminum Bottle and one 0.23oz Concentrated Refill made with only 7 ingredients. To make the soap, you just need to fill the bottle to the indented fill line with 7.5fl oz of warm drinking quality water, cut the packet along the dotted line and insert the mouth of it into the bottle (avoiding contact with water), and empty the packet. Reattach the pump and shake the bottle for 10 seconds and wait for 1 minute before the first time. The concentrate is a fine, white colored powder. It was easy to assemble the facial cleanser and the finished product is a light and fluffy unscented foam. To use, you just need to wet your face, pump cleanser into your hands, massage your face gently, and then rinse. There is no need to shake the bottle. It did a fantastic job at cleansing my skin thoroughly without drying it out in the process. After several weeks of use, I have found my skin looks bright, healthy, and feels refreshed. The manufacturer noted that it is suitable for sensitive and reactive skin. I did not experience any skin irritation, redness, or breakouts when using this product. When the product is finished, hand wash the bottle with dish soap and water prior to refilling. The piece is not dishwasher safe. Clean the pump by dispensing warm water through it to remove leftover formula. Then you can refill the bottle with another sleeve of concentrated refill. The fragrance-free, concentrated refill is Made in Canada. The concentrated refill is currently not available for sale on Amazon at the time this review was written. Overall, I am a fan of this Neutrogena Foaming Facial Cleanser and am happy to cut back on the number of bottles that I add to the recycling pile."
    Tedious?
"????????;????????: Great idea, needs some refinement.

    ????????????????????????????????????????????:
So, cleaning-efficacy-wise, this isn’t altogether too different from their pre-prepared cleanser, but I had some growing pains filling this the first time.
???? I thought I tamped down the soap from the top of the packet and cut it open, and then a glob of it dropped out of the top and onto my desk and coated my stuff in powdered soap. This happened with the refill I got as well; I am not sure how that’s possible.
???? The provided instructions almost always cause the bottom to overflow with foam/lather. It’s something you must mix in the bath or over the sink, but that’s a bit tedious to make, and then wash the bottle off itself every time.
???? I will say the bottle is pretty robust for a facial cleanser; obviously, they want you to keep re-using it, so it’d have to be, but it’s still a pleasant surprise.
Will I get refills? Maybe. The cleanser works well for me, as I have sensitive skin, and it is nice not to toss out tons of bottles. I’ll probably give it another go."
Works okay, good for the environment.
"This Neutrogena reusable gentle foaming facial cleanser (mouthful) is good but not great. It’s great for the environment and I’m liking that a lot of companies are starting to used concentrated products, although so far they don’t come at a lower price when you’re getting less product. I would recommend using less water and then adding more if you need it. You can always add more but you can’t take away less if the product is too watery. All you do is add the packet of powdered soap and then add water. Then you put the cap on and shake for 10 seconds. The product works okay, it’s just a general cleanser and doesn’t seem to be anything fancy. It stripped the bad oils from my skin and left my skin feeling fresh. I think this kit is a good idea and I’ll be interested to see how much the refills sell for. Hopefully they are affordable so you can continue to buy more instead of disposable packaging."
