"This is my first experience with compostable trash bags, and I have to say I'm impressed. I don't know why but I expected them to be thin and not hold up well, but this is not the case. These bags have a different, but cool, feel to them almost rubbery to the touch. They are pretty thick, which I was surprised about. They are the perfect size for my garbage cans in the bathrooms and bedrooms, and we go through a lot of those so it's nice to know these are good for the environment. They tear at the perforations easily, nothing is more annoying than fighting with bags to get them separated. The bags themselves are durable and hold a surprising amount of stuff without ripping or the bottom falling out. I also love that they come in a pack of 100 in a small box instead of a small amount in a plastic bag like a lot of other brands. This is definitely a brand that I will use for all of my small trash cans, and bonus is that they come in a great green color that's noticeable different from all the other bags out there."

"The Raytid compostable bags are 3 gallons, which is a little large for my 2 gallon countertop compost bin. However, that's really a plus sign, because I can fit more in and still have room to tie it off before sending it to my compost pile.
These are thicker than my other set of bags, which is nice. It didn't fall apart or tear after smashing a dozen egg shells into it. Because of this thickness, I do have some concerns about how quickly these bags will degrade in my compost bin. But only time will tell on that.
Another plus is the size of the cardboard container. It's very small, easy to pull a bag out, and compact. Very easy to hide away, but also easy to use. I'm very satisfied with these bags."

Please be aware of how compostable bags work before using - they are specifically made so that they can be broken down at compost facilities should your areas waste disposal service operate one. They cannot break down anywhere near as effectively at the landfill as they do not get enough air. They also release methane when not composted properly."
