Nice heavy duty plates. A little pricey.
"These are great for a family gathering. I will use these for thanksgiving. A more eco-friendly option than the traditional styrofoam or plastic plates. They are a little pricey, but worth it to be a little greener."
Sturdy, Earth-friendly
"What is bagasse? "Bagasse is a fibrous material that's left over after sugarcane or sorghum stalks are crushed to extract their juice." There is tons of bagasse left over from sugar production, and no trees have to be cut for us to have either a picnic, or just a no-washup taco night at home.
I love these picnic plates. They performed flawlessly at a girls' soccer team pizza party. They're 12" long, and stiff enough to hold from the end even when loaded with picnic foods. The material is thick enough that pizza oils did not penetrate.
The plates are made without any wax or plastic, and because they're not bleached they have than light-brown I-love-my-planet color.
Although these plates are compostable, we don't compost, so I feel better that we can put them in the garbage knowing they're biodegradable."
Perfect size for family dinners, sturdy
"These plates are nice and sturdy. They're thick enough that you don't have to "double them up" and use two plates for support. I feel like something about the oval shape also makes them a bit more "rigid" than you'd normally get with a round plate. They're also a very good size for family dinners. Since they're oval and not round, it gives just enough extra space to try a scoop of everything at the potluck lol. I'm pleased with them."
