"Product does not do that is discribed"

"I was hoping to use this to refresh my wood cabinets and a couple of pieces of (antique) furniture, but am unimpressed after an initial test run.

Like an idiot, I sprayed this on the top of an antique table, and while I was spreadIng it with a soft cloth I noticed the cloth turning dark brown (uh-oh - the beeswax is pale yellow). Turns out it was removing the finish from my table (grrr!!!). I quickly kicked into cleanup mode - attempting to remove to beeswax before it caused any further damage. A bottle of Windex and multiple rags later the damage (while still there) is far less evident.

I also decided to test in an unnoticeable area of a 15 year old cherry cabinet. The good news is it didn’t remove the existing finish, the bad news is it didn’t polish up as promised (left me with one extremely shiny/streaky spot that won’t rub or fade in). Perhaps it will fade over time?

I reviewed the instructions on the bottle a second time - yep, I followed them (except for removing the wax so quickly from my table). A small, hard to read, and easily missed note near the bottom of the label cautions ‘keep out of the reach of children. Before use, you can use it in a small area first, and then use it in a large area if there is no problem’. Fair enough - my bad. But I won’t be applying this to any of my other woodwork."
